A further note re: the WOEA etc.
As a professional anthropologist (cultural anthro.) I belong to the American
Anthro. Assoc. (AAA, not to be confused with the Auto club!) as well as a
sub-division... the Society for Anthro. in the Community College. Both are
quickly picking up on the importance of online learning/teaching/resources,
and both, I am sure, will integrate this quickly into the overall vision of
what they/we are about as professional anthropologists and educators. In
this context, I would see it as my commitment to stay attuned to ways that
any new association (WOEA specifically) might relate to these pre-existing
professional organizations--- and to bring whatever we might become as a
WOEA to our professional gatherings/deliberations of the AAA/SACC... Any
other anthro.'s out there who are interested in pursuing this, please know I
am here. As well, I would be grateful to anyone else in similar
circumstances, to further this discussion.
