Seems BBB (Brian's BB) is currently 'a little bit down'. Therefore
writing to keyone-l list.
At first explanation to my last posting where I said that Steve's are too
general.
Want to say that I agree and support what Steve said. Just feel the need
for making these ideas more concrete and clear.
Steve wrote (in keyone-l):
Therefore I propose that WAOE have at least three basic thrusts:
1) academic and voluntaristic, 2) charitable, funneling grants and
free assistance to non-Westerners or the less technologically
wealthy, and 3) commercial projects to support 1) and 2) as well
as to give members more teaching, consulting and training
opportunities.
This is a good idea.
Academic, charitable and commercial are different undertakings and
require diffeent approach, but if we manage to make good 'borders' and
distinguish them well from each other, then they can coexist friendly
under the same organizational cover.
